This work is not signed, yet the previous owner said that it comes from the estate of Harold English. English studied art at the Ecole des Beaux -Arts in Paris. He was a member of the Society Salon d' Automme, Paris. He exhibited there from 1930-1940; Tuileries Salon, 1931-1939, also in Paris; Biltmore Salon, Los Angeles, 1943; LosAngeles County Museum of Art, 1941-1949. He was awarded a medal at the Paris Expo, 1937; Legion of Honor, Paris. |
